When Major League Baseball (MLB) held its first European season games in 2019, we were tasked with creating and delivering the inaugural London Series between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees at the London Stadium. Our involvement was comprehensive, encompassing everything from transforming a football stadium into a fully functional ballpark to wayfinding, venue and game day event branding, fan engagement, bespoke fit-outs, fabrication, and experiential operations.
To enhance the traditional baseball crowd experience, we wanted spectators to truly feel the game, so our team devised and built the Playball Park. This interactive space allowed more than 10,000 fans to try their hand at six different baseball activities, including batting cages, catching zones, pitching tunnels, and VR baseball.
The MLB World Tour: London Series returned to London Stadium in June 2024 for its second outing. Our team was once again commissioned to design and deliver an authentic American ballpark atmosphere in East London. Our in-house production experts managed venue operations and transformed the football stadium into the world’s largest ballpark for the matchup between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies.
