For 38 weeks each year, NASCAR aims to evolve the race day experience on a year-to-year and week-to-week basis for the sport’s fanbase. One of the key moments at any race is the driver introduction and pre-race opening ceremony, which has evolved from just reading names of drivers into a spectacle filled with live entertainment, custom stages, pyrotechnics, flyovers and more.
For more than 25 years, Wasserman Live has led the way in introducing fresh, new entertainment concepts and custom stages for opening ceremonies across the NASCAR circuit including the sport’s biggest events including The DAYTONA 500 and the NASCAR Championship.
Through the ideation and fabrication of custom-built stages with integrated race and partner branding, Wasserman Live raises the bar each year in producing opening ceremonies and on-stage entertainment for these highly anticipated and televised events that kick off the NASCAR season. Each stage can be rolled on and off the track in a matter of minutes and is designed with the unique intricacies of each individual NASCAR track.
In addition, Wasserman Live is responsible for the minute-by-minute scheduling of pre-race opening ceremonies and manages driver introductions, parade laps, pyrotechnics, the invocation, national anthem, coordinating with broadcast partners, and flyovers to get fans pumped for the race and create exciting made-for-TV moments.
