Muroki's voice is a truly hynotic instrument, effortlessly caressing melodies over hazy, soul based pop. Wavy (watch the video here) was his first Platinum single in his home country. He has gone on to feature on Summer Season with Leisure while also bringing Benee on board for the super infectious Love Cocoon.
A regular on festival stages in Australia and NZ, Muroki also joined Jack Johnson and his band on stage in Auckland last summer to jam Wavy with the Hawaiian based superstar.
Muroki blends his Kenyan and NZ roots into a brew that feels distinctly mixed in Raglan, the home town he mostly strongly identifies his music with — its sunbaked, sleepy seaside intimacy and world famous surf break a defining backdrop to his sound.
A musician's musician, brimming with talent far beyond his years, Muroki is emerging as a shining star, bringing a growing audience to his soulful sound.
