TSS (formerly The Sunday Sadness) is a dynamic French modern metal band known for its bold fusion of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, synthwave, and — more recently — phonk and neo-metal. Founded in 2016 by Kirby, who set out to merge his emo and metalcore roots into a fresh sonic identity, the band quickly solidified with John on guitar and Hugo on drums.

The band made its debut in December 2017 with the single "The Wrong Way." This was soon followed by "Lost In The Crowd" in May 2018, which led to TSS's first-ever live appearance, opening for Asking Alexandria in Paris. The performance immediately positioned the band as a rising force in the French alternative scene.

In late 2018, the synthwave-driven single "Someone" marked a pivotal moment as John stepped forward as a second lead vocalist. This evolution continued through their self-titled debut EP in May 2019, led by "Damn I Hate It," an acclaimed fusion of funk, synthwave, and emo that culminated in a sold-out release show in Paris.

TSS broadened their identity by incorporating French lyrics, releasing "YAYAYA" in September 2019. Their originality soon caught the attention of independent label PlayTwo, with whom they crafted the album REGRETS, in collaboration with Warner Music and major French broadcaster TF1. In September 2021, the band rebranded as TSS, celebrating the shift with their standout single "1996."

In February 2023, TSS embraced a heavier sound with "Tes Pleurs," a modern metalcore track inspired by Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy. Their experimental streak continued with "Fantasize" (August 2023), a viral blend of alternative rock, j-rock, phonk, and metal that earned millions of Spotify streams. December 2023 brought "Would You Be My Therapy?" which topped the iTunes rock charts and drew strong label interest.

In September 2024, TSS signed with Fearless Records and released "KILLING ME," a hybrid of neo-metal, 2000s rock, and metalcore accompanied by a visually striking video inspired by early-2000s horror films and The Matrix.

The momentum culminated in June 2025 with the release of their album End Of Time, a defining project that pushed their hybrid sound to new heights. Following the release, TSS embarked on an extensive European and Asian tour, expanding their global footprint and connecting with rapidly growing international fanbases.

Characterized by relentless innovation and bold genre-blending, TSS stands today as one of the most exciting rising acts in modern metal, uniting diverse musical communities and continuing to expand their reach worldwide.
