WASSERMAN APPOINTED TO SECURE NEW NAMING RIGHTS PARTNER FOR CAMPING WORLD STADIUM
September 16, 2025Upcoming $400M renovation will elevate Orlando venue’s standing as a premier entertainment destination
FLORIDA, September 16, 2025 — Florida Citrus Sports, a not-for-profit management organization that produces major events at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, has engaged global sports, music and entertainment company Wasserman to lead its search for a new stadium naming rights partner as the historic City-owned venue prepares for a transformational $400 million renovation.
“Wasserman’s experience in securing transformative partnerships makes them an ideal collaborator as we look ahead to a new era for this iconic venue,” said FCS CEO Steve Hogan. “This process will ensure the stadium continues to attract world-class events and remains a centerpiece of Orlando’s sports and entertainment landscape while supporting the long-term operations that make those experiences possible.”
The announcement follows a mutual agreement between FCS and Camping World to let the active venue naming rights agreement expire. Wasserman’s dedicated Rights Sales division will be responsible for identifying, negotiating and securing a new long-term partner.
“We are honored to partner with FCS during this exciting new chapter for Orlando,” said Chris Foy, Wasserman’s EVP and Managing Director for Rights Sales in North America. “The upcoming renovations will transform the venue into one of the most dynamic sports and entertainment destinations in the country, providing an incredible platform for brands to engage with fans year-round and creating a lasting impact for the local area.”
Forthcoming updates will increase the stadium’s capacity, enhance ADA accessibility, reimagine and replace the upper bowl with more comfortable chairback seating, upgrade and add premium spaces throughout the venue and enhance the guest experience across the campus. The phase also includes a new enclosed multipurpose events center venue adjacent to the stadium. The project, scheduled for completion in summer of 2027, follows a $207 million upgrade in 2014 that replaced the stadium’s lower bowl. A subsequent $60 million project included the addition of permanent Plaza Level seating in the north end zone, an all-new Club Level along both sidelines and other operational improvements.
Beyond the physical upgrades, the stadium’s value to the Central Florida community extends beyond standard metrics. In addition to ticketed events, the venue hosted hundreds of community gatherings and services since 2014. It served as the Family Assistance Center following the Pulse nightclub shooting. During the pandemic, it was a host site for COVID-19 testing and a monoclonal antibody treatment clinic. The campus has also held community food drops, drive-in movie nights and more.
In addition, the stadium serves as a catalyst for community transformation through Lift Orlando, an FCS partner organization focused on holistic neighborhood development. In the decade since its founding, Lift Orlando has helped direct more than $120 million in capital investment supporting affordable housing, early education and health and wellness assets that directly benefit local residents living near the venue.
“This opportunity is about more than a name on a building,” said Hogan, a co-founder of Lift Orlando. “It’s about aligning with a partner who shares our vision for a stadium that drives impact for The Communities of West Lakes and the entire Central Florida region.”
Since its dedication as Greater Orlando Stadium in 1935, the site has served as Central Florida’s premier stage for world-class sports and entertainment. During that time, it has served as the home field for more than a dozen professional and college teams, hosted the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl for 80 years and stood among just nine U.S. venues selected for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Most recently, it hosted four matches during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and has also showcased global soccer powers such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus through the FC Series.
The stadium’s history of major global events also includes six NFL Pro Bowls between 2017 and 2024, two WWE WrestleMania events (2008 and 2017) and dozens of concerts including Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, The Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks and Bad Bunny, with the venue even appearing as the backdrop in Adam Sandler’s iconic film The Waterboy. Additional annual signature bookings include the Pop-Tarts Bowl, the Florida Blue Florida Classic and Feast on the 50 — and with its next renovation phase set to be complete in 2027, the venue is poised to build on this legacy with an even broader lineup of major events in the future.
