LOS ANGELES
Wasserman has promoted Shelley Pisarra to Chief Insights and Innovation Officer, where she will report to Wasserman Chief Operating Officer Darrell Coetzee.
In her new role, Pisarra, who previously served as Executive Vice President, Global Insights, will develop strategies and platforms that will accelerate growth across the sports, music and entertainment landscape, using best practices and proven methodologies that have been a foundational part of the growth of Wasserman’s marketing and talent representation practices for the past decade. Specific initiatives include continued expansion of Wasserman’s product and innovation work – focusing on developing proprietary commercial capabilities that unlock revenue opportunities for top talent, brands, and rights holders.
“I’m thrilled to step into this role, as Wasserman continues to demonstrate our commitment to putting insights to work to best serve our clients, while anticipating what’s next for the fan at the intersection of sports, music, and entertainment,” said Pisarra.
With over 25 years of experience in sports, media, and consumer packaged goods, Pisarra’s position reinforces Wasserman’s stance as an industry-leader in utilizing data, insights, and intelligence to inform work and deliver for clients. Her success accelerating Wasserman’s research and insights practice through transformed audience analytics, consumer profiling, fan segmentation, and social analysis has made her a leading industry voice in helping to redefine how to use data and insights to maximize ROI and unlock additional revenue streams.
A 2020 Sports Business Journal ‘Game Changer’ honoree, Pisarra has been a mentor and advocate to many individuals through all stages of their careers. She has dedicated time to creating additional forums for connection and development for those in the industry, co-founding the Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Multiplier Summit in 2022, and partnering on programming with the MIT Sloan Sports and Analytics Conference since 2016.
