Chad Kelly is the starting quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. After a storied college career at the University of Mississippi and time spent in the National Football League, Kelly made more history in 2022 by leading the Argonauts to victory in the 109th Grey Cup, the championship of Canadian football.

The nephew of NFL legend Jim Kelly, Chad started his college career at Clemson University before transferring to East Mississippi Community College. In one season at East Mississippi, Kelly led the Lions to a 12-0 record and the NJCAA national championship. From there, Kelly took his talents to the University of Mississippi, elevating Ole Miss to new heights by setting 25 school records over his 22-game career and leading the Rebels to victory in the 2016 Sugar Bowl, a game in which he won MVP honors.

Kelly was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the final selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Broncos and Indianapolis Colts before signing with the Argonauts in February 2022. In that season’s championship game, Kelly came off the bench with the Argonauts trailing 23-17 and helped lead them to a 24-23 win, securing Toronto’s 18th Grey Cup in franchise history.
