His performances caught the attention of top European clubs, leading to a transfer to Juventus in 1999.
Although van der Sar’s time at Juventus was relatively brief, he continued to impress with his shot-stopping ability and composure under pressure. In 2001, he made a high-profile move to English club Fulham, where he further solidified his reputation as one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers.
