Emily Proud

Emily Proud joined 247 Sports as a host in August 2022. The CBS Sports owned property covers all things college football and college basketball. She also occasionally hosts on CBS Sports HQ and is a sideline reporter for Belmont University basketball games on ESPN+. Previously, she was a reporter and weekend news anchor for WKRN News 2 in Nashville, Tennessee. Before arriving in Nashville, Emily was a sports reporter/anchor at WATE in her hometown of Knoxville, TN.

In her four years in Music City, Emily covered major events including a record-breaking NFL Draft, an AFC Championship run for the Titans, and the NFL’s first major COVID-19 outbreak. Emily also launched an Emmy-nominated segment titled “Making Us Proud;” provided coverage for 20 Nexstar Media Group affiliates from the March Madness bubble in Indy; and reported on the Nashville Predators’ Stanley Cup Final run, the inaugural season in MLS for Nashville SC, the first NASCAR Cup Series race in Nashville in over 40 years, and the city’s first-ever IndyCar race. Additionally, Emily covered SEC football for six years, which she continues to cover on a national scale with 247 Sports.

Emily earned her degree at Belmont University and was a four-year letter winner on the soccer team, becoming an OVC Top 20 Preseason Player to Watch her senior year.
