Fiona Cauley is a stand-up comedian – unusual in many ways, including that she doesn’t stand up.
Cauley suffers from Friedreich’s ataxia, a degenerative form of muscular dystrophy. She was walking in high school, she started college with a cane and ended with a walker. Now, the 27-year-old comedian is in a wheelchair, which is the inspiration for much of her comedy and speaking engagements.
Fiona uses her quick wit and dark sense of humor to give some insight into what life is like as a disabled female comic. Based out of Nashville, Tennessee, she is a regular at Zanies Comedy Club and any local hotdog stand. She can also be found in Austin, Texas, dropping into the world-famous Comedy Mothership and as a frequent special guest on KILL TONY.
