Heather O’Reilly is a 3x Olympic gold medalist, World Cup champion and NWSL champion. Displaying one of the best work rates in the world, Heather began thundering up and down the right flank for the US team in 2002 when she was only 17. Heather holds the record for the most consecutive games played on the national team at 74, where she started 67 of those 74 matches. Long known for her speed and endurance, Heather became a fan favorite over the years for her competitive drive on the field and humorous nature off the pitch. She finished her pro playing career as one of only four 3x women’s soccer Olympic gold medalists.
Heather played overseas with the Shelbourne Football Club, winners of the Irish League title, in 2022 and is currently doing broadcast work with Fox Sports. She also coached women’s soccer at the University of North Carolina, her alma mater. A mom to two boys, Heather is also involved in several organizations: Right to Play, Athlete Ally, and America Scores. She founded the Heather O’Reilly Soccer Academy in 2013, which leads various soccer skills clinics around the country.
