Jose Berrios, “La Makina” (The Machine), is a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and a 2x All-Star pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. Berrios was a first-round draft pick by the Minnesota Twins in 2012 and made his MLB debut on April 27, 2016, at 21 years old, the youngest Twin to ever debut as a starter. In 2021, after six seasons with the Twins, Berrios was traded to the Blue Jays where he remains a crucial part of the roster.

Berrios is a family man, married to his wife Jannieliz and a father to three children. Proud of his Puerto Rican heritage, Berrios was a member of Team Puerto Rico during the 2013, 2017, and 2023 World Baseball Classics. In 2017, Berrios showcased his love for Puerto Rico when the island needed it the most. Hurricane Maria brought devastation to the island, which drove Berrios to personally distribute food, water, and crucial supplies to people in need. Berrios also teamed up with the Minnesota Twins to launch various community initiatives focused on education and youth baseball for underprivileged kids from underserved communities in the greater Minneapolis metropolitan area.
