Manny Margot is a Dominican-born center fielder for the Minnesota Twins. Previously, he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2011, Margot was signed as an international free agent by the Boston Red Sox and began his career with the Dominican League Red Sox. In 2015, he was part of the World Team in the Futures Game. Later that year, Margot was acquired by the San Diego Padres where he was named to the team’s 40-man roster, and on September 21, 2016, he was promoted to the major leagues. While in San Diego, Margot was the team’s regular center fielder and brought the organization success with his clutch at bats.
In 2020, Margot was traded from the Padres to the Tampa Bay Rays where he helped the team finish with the best record in the American League. That year, the Rays advanced to the World Series, in which Margot played a crucial role driving in runs and making key defensive plays. In December 2023, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Off the field, Margot loves spending time with his wife, Rachell, and being a father to their three children.
