Ramón Urías is a professional infielder for the Baltimore Orioles, originally from Magdalena de Kino, Mexico. In 2010, Urías signed with the Texas Rangers organization as an international free agent. He played for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico under the Mexican League, and later signed with the St. Louis Cardinals. After growing within the organization and improving his game, Ramón was added to the Cardinals’ 40-man roster and traded to the Baltimore Orioles where he made his first major league start in 2020.
Throughout the 2022 season, Ramón was the Orioles starting third baseman, asserting himself as a key figure in the team’s success. His excellence at bat and incredible record at base earned Ramón the American League Gold Glove Award for third baseman. Off the field, Ramón enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, and fiancée, Andrea. Ramón is one half of a successful MLB brother duo, with his older brother, Luis, playing as a Red Sox infielder. Ramón’s exceptional tenacity and dedication to the sport indicate that he has a very promising future in the world of baseball.
