The son of former England captain Michael Vaughan, Archie is one of Wasserman’s future stars.

Archie’s First-Class career began during August 2024 in the County Championship win over Durham.
In 2024, Archie played four Championship matches helping Somerset to four wins. Batting in 8 inning he scored 236 runs (AVG. 33.71) with a highest score of 68.

Yet, it was Archie’s bowling in the 2024 County Championship which drew attention. In four games he took 15 wickets (AVG. 20.13), with eleven coming in the game against Surrey, included best bowling figures in a single innings of 6-102.

Archie’s List A debut came in July 2024. During a run that took Somerset to the Final of the Metro Bank One Day Cup Archie played seven times. His top score of 32* came in the Final defeat to Glamorgan.

England

At Under-19 level, Archie made his England debut in the second Test against Sri Lanka.

At the start of 2025 Archie travelled with the Under-19s squad to South Africe. A headline grabbing second innings 6-19 to clinch a win for England in the second Test being the highlight.
