Andrew Singer Launches REVUE STUDIOS, a Wholly Independent Content Studio Backed by Wasserman
July 17, 2025July 17, 2025 — Los Angeles, CA — Andrew Singer, former President of Film & Television and Head of West Coast Operations of Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, has launched REVUE STUDIOS, a new independent content studio backed by Wasserman. The studio will produce both scripted and non-scripted content, with a core focus on comedy, premium storytelling, and a platform-agnostic studio model.
REVUE will operate autonomously, giving it the flexibility to partner widely with talent agencies and management companies and across networks, streamers, live entertainment and social media platforms. The company will operate as part of Wasserman’s growing entertainment business, which is led by Jon Liebman.
“REVUE is built to be a true home for the comedy and creative community — where talent can develop fresh ideas and share in their success, no matter the platform. Inspired by independent studios of the past, we are committed to creating a culture around artists, with unrelenting creative support and real investment. I’m grateful to Casey, Jon, and the Wasserman team for believing in this vision, and to Lorne Michaels and my colleagues at Broadway Video for the opportunities and mentorship that brought me here,” said Singer.
“We believe in backing talent who are building for the long game,” said Casey Wasserman, Chairman & CEO of Wasserman. “Andrew is a proven creative leader with a bold vision, and REVUE represents the kind of truly independent, talent-first studio that’s increasingly rare — and incredibly needed — in today’s landscape.”
REVUE also encompasses an established non-fiction arm — launched by Zoe Rogovin in 2024 — which has made a meaningful impact in the documentary, docu-series and original format space.
With 25 years of experience and a track-record that includes Emmy, Golden Globe, AFI, and Peabody award-winning shows, Singer brings a deep understanding of how to nurture breakthrough talent and culturally impactful storytelling. Beginning as an associate producer on the Emmy-winning series 30 Rock, Singer was instrumental in the sale, launch, and production of Broadway Video’s slate of series, including the Peabody and Emmy-winning Portlandia, Emmy-winning Schmigadoon!, Emmy-nominated Documentary Now!, Peabody-winning Los Espookys, as well as the critically acclaimed AP Bio, Miracle Workers, Man Seeking Woman, The Other Two, Shrill, MacGruber, Detroiters, Bust Down, and Bupkis — on all of which he served as executive producer.
Singer oversaw Broadway Video’s development and production deals with NBCUniversal and Paramount Pictures and helped build a diverse slate of series and feature films for NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS, FX, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, TBS, Comedy Central, and Paramount Pictures. He began his career in development at Carsey-Werner Mandabach and joined Broadway Video in 2003.
The name REVUE STUDIOS pays homage to a foundational chapter in entertainment history. In the 1950s, Lew Wasserman launched Revue Productions to produce original television programming. That move redefined the business, centering talent as the driving force behind television storytelling. REVUE STUDIOS carries forward that same pioneering spirit — empowering creators and talent.
REVUE’s backer, Wasserman, is a global leader in sports, music, and entertainment, which continues to evolve and expand its worldwide presence through organic growth and strategic investments, partnerships, and acquisitions.
