We know baseball. So well, in fact, that we took America’s favourite pastime and introduced it to a UK audience.

When Major League Baseball (MLB) held their first European season games in 2019, we were tasked with creating and delivering the first edition of the London Series between The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees at the UK’s London Stadium. Our involvement was all-encompassing; from transforming a football stadium into a fully fledged ballpark, to wayfinding, venue and gameday event branding, fan engagement, bespoke fit outs, fabrication and experiential operations.

Beyond the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional baseball crowd experience, we wanted spectators to get a feel for the game itself. So, our team devised and built the Playball Park, which saw more than 10,000 fans try their hand at six different baseball activities, including batting cages, catching zones, pitching tunnels and VR baseball.

After a four-year hiatus, baseball returned to London Stadium for MLB World Tour: London Series once again in 2023. Our team was recommissioned to design and deliver on gameday, bringing an authentic American ballpark atmosphere to East London, while our in-house production experts managed venue operations and transformation of the football stadium into the world’s largest ballpark for the match between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
