David has become one of the leading conductors of Film with Live Orchestra, having conducted titles including La La Land (UK and Ireland Tour), Disney's The Jungle Book (Royal Festival Hall, London), Beauty and the Beast (UK and Ireland Tour), Encanto (UK Tour), the Star Wars trilogy (UK and Ireland Arena Tours), Grease (UK Tour), Pixar in Concert (UK Tour), Toy Story (UK Tour), Hocus Pocus (UK Premiere), The Muppet Christmas Carol (World Premiere and UK Tour), Black Panther (Asia Premiere), Avatar: The Last Airbender (World Premiere and European Tour), Joker (UK Tour), The Holiday (World Premiere and UK Tour) and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (UK Tour), also acting as Music Supervisor for the latter three.

As conductor and artistic director of The Novello Orchestra, appearances include the Wales Millennium Centre's 10th Anniversary production Broadway to the Bay, Live with Pink Martini (WMC), The Golden Age of Dance (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Broadway in Concert (The London Palladium), West End Proms (UK Festival Tour) and Disney's The Sound of Magic (London Coliseum, UK Premiere).

Further credits include Show Producer for the BAFTA Cymru Awards, Consultant Producer for the UEFA Champions League, Music Supervisor for the Roald Dahl centenary celebrations, Artistic Director of the Cardiff Music Festival, producer of television productions for BBC and ITV, Musical Director and Music Supervisor for Tiger Bay the Musical (Artscape Theatre Cape Town and WMC), and Creative Producer for Broadway's tribute to Rebecca Luker (starring Kristin Chenoweth) and the Raise Your Voice Gala with Sam Smith and Julie Andrews (Lincoln Center, New York).

He has appeared as guest conductor with orchestras including the London Concert Orchestra, Cape Town Philharmonic, RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Concert Orchestra, Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra, Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg and Orchestre National de Lille, and is a Visiting Director at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
