Rafael Castillo, better known as De La Ghetto, is one of Latin music's most distinguished urban artists. He was born in New York City, however, he spent most of his youth in Puerto Rico, which gave rise to his eclectic and multicultural taste in music. The two-time Latin GRAMMY®️ nominated artist is a bold singer, songwriter, and composer well versed in Reggaeton, Trap, and Hip Hop, who is constantly redefining Latin music by creating sounds that connect audiences from around the world.

In 2004 he began his musical career when he and Arcangel formed the duo Arcangel & De La Ghetto. Several years later, De La Ghetto launched his solo career and released his first album, "Massacre Musical'' in 2008 which hit #46 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Also, his single "Tu Te Imaginas" hit #33 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart, cementing him as a trailblazing performer.

Over the next decade, De La Ghetto released countless tracks, including successful collaborations that landed him several positions on Billboard's Hot Latin chart, including: "Tu Te Imaginas" in 2009; "Come closer" in 2016; "La Ocasion" – DJ Luian & Mambo Kingz Present: De La Ghetto, Arcangel, Ozuna & Anuel in 2016; "La Formula" De La Ghetto, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna & Chris Jeday in 2017; "Dime" Revol, J Balvin & Bad Bunny with Arcangel & De La Ghetto and "Todo El Amor" De La Ghetto, Wisin & Maluma in 2018.

De La Geezy has collaborated with the majority of his acclaimed colleagues, including Jhay Cortez, Myke Towers, Zion & Lennox, Farruko, Darell, Sofía Reyes, Jason Derulo, Miky Woodz, and El Alfa, among others. With over 20 million monthly listeners across all streaming platforms, De La Ghetto continues to break the mold and create music that pushes the boundaries of creativity and authenticity.

In 2019, De La Ghetto was nominated for two Latin GRAMMY Awards for "Best Urban Music Album" for his 2018 album "Mi Movimiento" and "Best Urban Song" for the track "Caliente" featuring J Balvin. In 2020 he released his album "Los Chulitos" with 19 songs including "Feka" and "El Que Se Enamora Pierde."

His recent releases include "Suave Rico" (2020), "Cuando Bebe," "Perdiendo El Control," "Todos Perreando," "Aprendí," y "La Pared 720" (2021), y "Loco Por Perrearte (Remix)" ft. Rauw Alejandro (2022), single that was certified platinum by the RIAA in September.

In mid-2023, De La Ghetto unveiled his new album "GZ." This 12-track album carries the distinctive mark of De La Ghetto, with bold and sensual lyrics intertwined with unparalleled melodies. Moreover, it represents a milestone in his career as it's his first production under his own record label. This album is notable for its explosive collaborations with renowned artists like RaiNao, Lyanno, Nesi, Arcángel, Villano Antillano, Myke Towers, Hector El Father, and Quevedo, with the latter featuring on the promotional single "My Love."

"My Love" stands out as the main single of the album, merging two continents with its power and originality. The official video for this song, shot in Spain and starring prominent Spanish film actors, is now available on all digital platforms.

Rafael Castillo, mejor conocido como De La Ghetto, es uno de los artistas urbanos más distinguidos de la música latina y urbana. Nació en la ciudad de Nueva York, sin embargo, pasó la mayor parte de su infancia en Puerto Rico, lo que dio lugar a su gusto ecléctico y multicultural por la música. El artista nominado dos veces al Latin GRAMMY®️ es un audaz cantante y compositor bien versado en el reguetón, trap, y hip hop, que redefine constantemente su música al crear sonidos que conectan audiencias de todo el mundo.
