Nicaraguan-American Diamante Blackmon, widely known as GORDO and formerly Carnage, reinvented himself during the pandemic. Embracing a healthier lifestyle and a renewed artistic vision, he moved to Hawaii with his grandmother and found a renewed sense of energy, paired with an essential house sound. It is a passionate, heartfelt, boundary-pushing dance sound, merging genres from Latin to Hip Hop and beyond, defining house music for the next generation.

GORDO's energetic live sets and innovative sound have captivated audiences worldwide. His performances at iconic venues and festivals such as Burning Man, Coachella, Pacha Ibiza, Space Miami, Brooklyn Mirage, MUTE Argentina, Green Valley, Brunch in the Park, Lollapalooza, The Loft Amsterdam, Tomorrowland, and many more have left lasting impressions. Meanwhile, GORDO also curates the TARAKA event series, which has made its mark globally, including in locations like San Francisco, Miami, Mykonos, Amsterdam, New York, and throughout his biggest-ever South American DJ tour, which passed through countries like Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and Colombia. Thousands of visitors all over the world have already experienced the events' authentic vibe, featuring extended sets, raw minimal production, and surprise guests, with handpicked line-ups by GORDO himself.

Since the start of GORDO, Blackmon has been a trailblazer, continuously evolving his sound. This evolution has led to releases such as "TARAKA," "Leaving Earth" with KAS:ST, "RIZZLA" with The Martinez Brothers and Rema, "R U 4REAL," "El Mas Chingon" with El Alfa, and "Fallin Luv," alongside production contributions to Drake's albums "Honestly, Nevermind" and "For All The Dogs" on tracks like "Sticky" and "Rich Baby Daddy." His single releases and production contributions have helped cement his status and solidify his signature sound, earning him accolades like #1 producer on Billboard's Hot 100 producers and #1 Hispanic DJ in DJ Mag's Top 100 for two consecutive years leading up to the release of his debut album "DIAMANTE."

GORDO's debut album, "DIAMANTE," is a culmination of over four years of collaboration and production, showcasing his ability to merge various genres into a cohesive and innovative sound. "DIAMANTE," dedicated to his family, friends, and loved ones, represents GORDO's most heartfelt work and reflects his journey and dedication to his roots. The album's tracks, including "Sideways" and "Healing" with Drake, "Guard Down" with &ME, "Honeyland" with Afshin Momadi, and "Cafecito" with Nicki Nicole and Sech, highlight his versatility and creative confidence. With collaborations including T-Pain, Larry June, Rampa, Maluma, Leon Bridges, and Fuerza Regida, the album bridges multiple musical worlds, promising a unique and emotional listening experience.

Born to Nicaraguan parents and raised in Guatemala by his aunt and mother, he moved back to the United States while speaking very little English and with almost no money to his name. Following a challenging childhood, he struggled to fit in initially, but through perseverance, he made it work and eventually became one of the most recognizable electronic artists in the world. Collaborating with artists like Fuerza Regida, Feid, El Alfa, Maluma, Nicki Nicole, and Sech, alongside multiple sold-out tours in Latin America, GORDO marks his return to his Hispanic roots. Beyond music, he is committed to philanthropy and giving back to the community that gave him so much growing up. It is those memories of his early struggles that motivated him to build schools in Nicaragua and Guatemala. They are his way of using his platform to raise awareness of the struggles of others.

Blackmon has never been afraid to step into the unknown, and moving away from the hard-hitting, aggressive Carnage sound certainly proves that. After years of self-discovery, GORDO is now Blackmon's whole world. It has liberated him and given him the confidence to unleash the sounds that have been deep in his heart for years. GORDO is all about making the music he wants to. No going back.
