Niles Hollowell-Dhar is a globally acclaimed artist from Berkeley, California with Kashmiri Hindu roots. Paying Homage to his paternal side which hails from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, he adapted his stage name KSHMR. Originally beginning in hip-hop production, KSHMR's move into electronic music was influenced by his hand in 2010 global smash 'Like A G6' and work on 2013 big-room anthem 'Tsunami,' which soon attracted the interests of the iconic label, Spinnin' Records.

Honing his craft in the studio, it was the meeting with Tiesto that changed KSHMR's career path forever. "Hereally believed in me," says Niles, referring to 2015 hit 'Secrets,' which the Dutch EDM giant premiered alongside KSHMR at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. He then went on to produce tracks like 'Megalodon,' 'Burn' 'Karate' and 'Wildcard' – the latter on Tiesto's Musical Freedom label. KSHMR soon began to garner interest worldwide, teaming up with Headhunterz on 'Dharma,' and collaborating with Hardwell on 'Power.'

"I never wanted to just produce regular DJ shows," says KSHMR. "My idea was to also provide a narrative with animations, and make a full story that the crowd can follow, a tale of a hero who defeats his rival in a thrilling climax." He released his 12-track EP 'Lion Across The Field' in 2016, which premiered at Coachella and was accompanied by a children's book he wrote of the same title. KSHMR was later awarded with DJ Mag's 'Best Live Act' award, a nod to the vast array of instruments used in his shows. This was a foreshadowing of his Ultra 2017 performance, where he was joined by a 7 person band – including keyboard, violin, viola, cello, flute, trombone and taiko drum – and traditional Indian dancers, for a fully interactive and immersive show that gained worldwide applause.

In the same year, during an emotional headline performance at Sunburn Festival, KSHMR states "I am a guy who makes Indian sounding electronic music, incorporating Indian instruments," as he is joined onstage by his grandfather, who beams with pride. He also sold out a 7-city India tour in 2017, and launched an annual charity event 'Karma' – which 20,000 people attended in New Delhi. Rising as high as high as #11 in DJ Mag's Top 100 rankings in 2021, he continues to be an innovative music producer.

Not one to shy away from his unique and refreshing take on the industry, he prides himself on his own creative freedom and hands-on approach in the studio. Building on his label Dharma Worldwide which began in 2017, Dharma Studio went live in 2019, and with this he launched a tutorial series called 'Lessons of Dharma,' where he and artists on his label host sessions to share their creative process, offering producers of all skill levels a variety of resources.

Soon after releasing his debut album 'Harmonica Andromeda,' KSHMR firmly cemented his reputation as one of the most dynamic and diverse acts in global electronic music. Fashioning himself as a pioneer and music enthusiast, he also offers his 'Sounds of KSHMR' sample packs, which provides others with all the tools they need to become producers themselves. His latest sample pack, 'Sounds of KSHMR' Vol.4' released in 2022 made it's debut as the #1 pack on Splice.
