Born in the outskirts of Stavanger, Norway on 16 February 1973, Hans-Peter Lindstrøm is a multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer who goes by the name of "Lindstrøm."
Lindstrøm has over the years produced and released a number of EPs, albums and remixes. He often collaborates with other artists, such as collaborations with fellow producer Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and singer Christabelle. Lindstrøm also works on remixes, having remixed artists including LCD Soundsystem, Roxy Music, Franz Ferdinand, Glasser and Best Coast.

As a solo artist Lindstrøm has released eight albums: It's a Feedelity Affair in 2006, Where You Go I Go Too in 2008, Six Cups of Rebel and Smalhans both in 2012, It ́s Alright Between Us As It Is in 2017, On A Clear Day I Can See You Forever in 2019, and Everyone Else Is A Stranger in 2023.
Lindstrøm has been nominated for Spellemannsprisen (the Norwegian Grammys) ten times and won four times. The first win was for his album It's a Feedelity Affair in 2006. He went on to receive the award for Where You Go I Go Too in 2008 and in 2010 he won the award with singer Christabelle for the album Real Life Is No Cool. In 2012 he won for the album Smalhans.
In August 2018 Lindstrøm performed music written for Henie Onstad Artcenter 50 year anniversary, later to be released as the album On A Clear Day I Can See You Forever in 2019. And in March 2021, he performed new music written for Pipe-organ and modular synthesizers in Stavanger Concert Hall.
In December 2019, UK newspaper The Guardian ranked Lindstrøms 45-minute version of Little Drummer Boy as the 20th best Christmas-song through all time. A live-performance with a 50-piece Male Choir were premiered in Oslo December, 2022.
Lindstrøm is currently busy working on a new album, to be released on his label Feedelity in 2025.
