Born in Burbank and raised in Santa Clarita, California, she describes herself as "an introverted alto," but social media followers have come to admire Marley for her range, runs, and perfect pitch.
Marley was raised in an especially musical family. Her great-great uncle is the late Chuck Berry, and her father, Al Berry, played bass guitar for industry titans like Nile Rodgers, Kelly Clarkson, and Avril Lavigne. However, it wasn't until 2020 that she began to pursue music professionally. "When my online singing videos were taking off, and many in the industry reached out to me, I decided to take a break from my sophomore year of college to put all my effort into actually pursuing my own career," Marley explains.
In November 2024, "Good Mornin," a collaboration with Pharrell and Doodles Stoodio, will be released, followed by an EP tentatively titled What If You Like It, through a joint venture with her Bleum Records label. The EP project covers a wide musical range; while "Good Mornin" tells the story of spending the night through to the morning with a lover, featuring Marley's airy vocals over an upbeat production, "WDYD" showcases a more assertive and fun vocal performance, covering the internal conflict of reconnecting with an ex. Meanwhile, "Only Sun" highlights Marley's dynamic performance over a timeless Pharrell instrumental as she convincingly requests commitment from a lover. The project provides listeners access to "a girl in her 20s growing up, asking herself questions, and stepping into herself."
