The Lumineers have ascended to the upper echelons of the world's most beloved bands with their ambitious blend of alternative rock sensibilities, anthemic Americana, and idealistic charm. Renowned for their idiosyncratic and inventive songcraft, as well as their energetic and emotionally resonant live performances, the band has won international acclaim and a devoted fan following. Founded in 2005 by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano), The Lumineers have their roots in New Jersey but truly found their voice after relocating to Denver, CO, in 2009. Over the course of four studio albums, the band has evolved from anthemic Americana pioneers to storytellers of alternative rock-driven narratives and a global stadium touring act.

Their 2012 3x RIAA Platinum-certified self-titled debut on Dualtone Records made an immediate impact with its raucous sound and freewheeling vision, climbing to #2 on the Billboard 200 thanks in part to songs like the breakthrough #1 hit single "Ho Hey" which spent 18 non-consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard's Rock Songs chart and "Stubborn Love" which spent two four-week runs at number one on the Adult Alternative Songs chart. This breakthrough anthem topped charts worldwide, earning Platinum, Multi-Platinum, and Diamond certifications along the way.

The Lumineers followed with 2016's Cleopatra, cementing their status with a #1 debut on album charts in the US, Canada, and the UK, along with RIAA Platinum certification in the US and 3x Platinum in Canada. Their 2019 album, III, was both a critical and popular phenomenon, infusing cinematic storytelling with a modern alternative sound while exploring themes of trauma, addiction, and generational legacy. Highlighted by such singles as "Gloria," which rose to #1 at multi-format radio outlets nationwide, III saw the band elevate their signature style while pushing the parameters of their songwriting to explore trauma and addiction, depicting the agony of love, loss, and the enduring impact of substance abuse from one generation to the next.

January 2022 saw the arrival of the band's acclaimed fourth studio album, BRIGHTSIDE. The album's vibrant title track, "BRIGHTSIDE," made history by ascending to #1 on Billboard's "Alternative National Airplay" and "Adult Alternative Airplay" charts — the band's sixth time atop the latter ranking in less than 10 years. The Lumineers now boast the most #1 singles among all acts on that chart in the span since achieving their first AAA chart-topper in 2012. This milestone underscores The Lumineers' significant influence and enduring appeal within the adult alternative and modern rock genres, solidifying their standing as cultural trailblazers.

The Lumineers have earned a stunning list of achievements since their humble origins performing at small clubs and open mic nights, spanning 24 #1 hits across a range of radio formats, more than 6B streams, sales of over 1.5M albums in the US alone, 22M monthly listeners on Spotify, and social media reach exceeding 6.5M followers. Among their many accolades, The Lumineers have received GRAMMY Award nominations for "Best New Artist" and "Best Americana Album," five Billboard Music Awards nominations including "Top Rock Artist" and "Top Rock Album," and an American Music Awards nomination for "Favorite Rock Artist." They have also earned two nominations from the Americana Music Honors & Awards, as well as a Teen Choice Awards nomination for "Best Rock Group." Additionally, The Lumineers won "International Video of the Year – Group" at the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards for their song "Stubborn Love."

Along with their evolving recorded body of work, The Lumineers have captivated fans worldwide with their soaring, enthusiastic, and utterly irresistible live performances. Their tours have included sold-out shows in arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums across the globe. They have also headlined legendary festivals such as Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Fuji Rock, Splendour in the Grass, and Osheaga Festival Musique et Arts, to name just a few. The 2022 BRIGHTSIDE World Tour proved to be their largest yet, selling over 1.1 million tickets across 120 cities, 29 countries, and six continents. The tour culminated in a landmark performance at Chicago's Wrigley Field, immortalized in their first-ever live album and full-length concert film, Live From Wrigley Field (2024).

The Lumineers have made sure to use their position as one of the most successful touring acts of their generation as a force for change. The Lumineers have worked hard to minimize their tours' environmental footprint while engaging fans to take climate action and support nonprofit organizations & climate projects. The band has further dedicated time and support to a wide array of causes, raising funds and awareness for causes spanning human rights, hunger awareness, youth mental health, music education, Planned Parenthood, and more, showcasing their commitment to making an impact beyond the stage. During the pandemic, they spearheaded Colorado Gives Back a live-streamed benefit concert that raised money for individuals in the Colorado and national live music community as well as those in the Colorado restaurant/service industry who had lost work due to COVID-19.

2025 promises to be one of the band's biggest years yet, with major festival appearances at Cancun's Out of the Blue and Tempe's Extra Innings Festival, an expansive EU/UK headline tour, and even more dates to be announced.

The Lumineers continue to push boundaries, solidifying their place as one of the most dynamic and influential bands of their generation.
