Alex Faust

Alex Faust serves as a play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports, calling college football, college basketball, and Major League Baseball. He is also one of the play-by-play announcers for Apple TV’s Friday Night Baseball package.

Previously, Alex was the television play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Kings. He was also a college football and basketball play-by-play commentator for ESPN. Additional assignments included calling college football for Sports USA Radio and college hockey on NESN.

From 2013 to 2016, Alex was a radio broadcaster for the AHL’s Utica Comets, calling the first game in franchise history, serving as the ‘Inside the Glass’ reporter for the 2015 AHL All-Star Game, and calling games during the team’s run to the Calder Cup Finals in 2015.

During that span, Alex also served as the voice of Northeastern University men’s basketball, broadcasting the team’s first conference championship in more than two decades, and at age 26, he became one of the youngest commentators to ever work an NCAA tournament game.

Previously, Alex worked in minor league baseball, with a two-year stint as the voice of the single-A Staten Island Yankees.

Recognized as an up-and-coming talent in the sports broadcasting world, Alex won the Jim Nantz Award as a college junior in 2011, which is presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate sports broadcaster.

Alex graduated from Northeastern University in 2012 with a degree in political science and economics. He and his wife reside in Los Angeles, California.
