Worcestershire

Ed’s talent was developed at the Worcestershire Academy. His progress was further aided when he was awarded a cricket scholarship to Shrewsbury School.

He then played Minor Counties cricket for Herefordshire, scoring 227* against Shropshire. While studying at university, he also played for Durham MCC between 2015-2017.

 

Warwickshire

In 2016, Ed signed an academy development contract with Warwickshire. In 2017, he made his T20 debut for the Birmingham Bears. In his first T20 match Ed opened the batting and made 66 off 40 balls.

During the 2017 season, Ed’s contribution with the bat helped the Bears reach the final of the NatwestT20 Blast.

Over the summer of 2018 season, Ed consolidated his position in the Warwickshire set-up in both white and red ball formats.

 

Worcestershire

In September 2021, Ed returned to Worcestershire after signing a two-year contract.

Second time around, Ed’s Worcestershire career got off to the best possible start when he completed his maiden County Championship and First-Class century in the season opener against Leicestershire. His quick-fire 122 taking just 74 balls.
